The realization that something needs to change is the necessary prerequisite for a successful coaching process. Only with this willing mindset can the coachee reflect and develop new skills and change behaviors. A clearly defined process helps the individual to work on the agreed objectives during the coaching sessions. Between sessions, the coachee practices and implements the new learnings in his/her daily routine at the office. Throughout the coaching process the self-awareness competence of the coachee is trained and enhanced.
The coach is the challenger, who asks questions and encourages the coachee to take new steps and to try new approaches. In addition the coach advises and acts as a sounding board.
