Annette Isenschmid has successfully led Isenschmid Consulting since she founded it in 1997. As a Swiss business woman her business is ingrained with the Swiss values of excellence, quality, and confidentiality. Annette has an excellent education and work experience in Switzerland and abroad. Her international reputation is highly acknowledged.After her first degree as a teacher she worked in several countries before studying business administration at the University of Berne, where she graduated with a masters degree (lic.rer.pol.). Her commitment to life long learning is clearly evident. She has completed programs in conflict management, change management, a curriculum in 'the new culture of learning' and a global program 'Future of Management – Management of the future'. Last but not least she holds a specialized Masters in "Consulting & Coaching for Change" (M.Sc.CCC HEC Paris). This includes a diploma program in "Consulting & Coaching for Change" from INSEAD and HEC Paris.
Experience
In the early 1980s Annette worked as a sports counselor and teacher in Switzerland, Nigeria and the USA. During her studies she completed an internship at IBM Switzerland and worked in the market research department of Sandoz-Wander Ltd.
After the completion of her business administration studies she started at Credit Suisse in Marketing and held different functions in the following areas: International Market Research, Total Quality Improvement and Private Banking.
After a sabbatical in Australia she started with Swiss Bank Cooperation as an internal consultant, again holding different functions in Switzerland as well as globally. In 1997 she founded Isenschmid Consulting.
Social Engagement
Annette Isenschmid has been a member of BPW Switzerland (Business & Professional Women) since 1991. She was the President of BPW Switzerland from 2002 – 2005 following 3 years on the Executive Team.
Since 2002 she has been a Jury member for the Prix Veuve Clicquot, Women Entrepreneur of the Year, thus allowing her to show her commitment to entrepreneurship and female leaders.
Interests
Annette loves to use sports to find balance in her life. She particularly enjoys jogging, in-line skating and skiing. Once in a while you may see her at the opera, at a concert or at the cinema. But most of all she likes spending her time with her husband, family and friends. If she can combine such a gathering with a delicious meal and a glass of wine, all the better. Last but not least: Traveling is her life destiny – whether for business or pleasure.
